Description: This vintage textile insignia is a woven silk or rayon ribbon used by the Norges Speiderforbund (Norwegian Guide and Scout Association). The ribbon is densely machine-embroidered with a vibrant diagonal ribbed pattern in bright crimson red. The center vignette features a striking white horse in mid-gallop carrying a stylized rider, who extends a long lance to strike a green scaly dragon positioned on the left side. Across the bottom border, the traditional Norwegian Scout motto is woven in crisp white block lettering reading "VÆR BEREDT" (Be Prepared). The sides terminate in raw, clean vertical borders with slight white fabric fringing typical of rolls of uncut rank or honor ribbons.
