Moscow Kremlin Spasskaya Tower Definitive Stamp

Under Review

Description: This is an authentic postal definitive issue from the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR), belonging to the long-running post-war Eighth Definitive Issue. The central vignette features a detailed, fine-line view of the majestic Spasskaya Tower (Savior Tower) soaring above the Kremlin fortress walls in Moscow, topped by its distinctive gothic spire and a symbolic red star fixture. Intricate vertical shading forms the sky background, while a stylized border of oak leaves elegantly frames both sides of the inner design. Positioned at the top of the rectangular frame, bold white-on-red block typography reads "ПОЧТА" (Postage), paired with a mirroring bottom base banner that spells out the state authority as "СССР" alongside a dedicated value square containing a bold numeric "1" over the currency label "РУБ" (Ruble). This particular specimen features an extensive, sweeping black ink circular handstamp cancellation tracking diagonally down across the top right quadrant.
