Soviet Kolkhoz Woman Definitive Stamp

Under Review

Description: This is a standard definitive circulation postage stamp issued by the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR), belonging to the highly recognized post-war 8th Definitive Issue. The central vignette displays a fine example of Socialist Realism propaganda art, focusing on a resolute Kolkhoznitsa (collective farm woman) wearing a simple peasant headscarf. She looks outward toward the horizon while cradling a dense, heavy sheaf of wheat stalks in her right arm. The background layout features fine horizontal shading lines representing the open, expansive fields of a state-managed cooperative farm. Encased at the absolute top frame, Cyrillic block lettering reads "ПОЧТА СССР" (Postage USSR), while a clean text panel at the base positions the denomination and value as "20 копеек" (20 Kopecks). A small, dark black ink cancellation or double handstamp mark clips the upper right design frame, showing its validation in the active mail system.
