Soviet Proletarian Female Worker Definitive Stamp

Under Review

Description: This is an authentic postal definitive issue from the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR), belonging to the historically significant early Gold Standard Issue series. The central vignette showcases an exemplary early model of Socialist Realism art, capturing a powerful bust-length portrait of a resilient female factory worker (Rabotnitsa) facing slightly right. Her hair is neatly bound beneath a distinctively knotted industrial peasant headscarf, and she wears a simple, open-collar work shirt decorated with horizontal line engravings that match the uniform, narrow line patterns filling the background sky. The lower frame is accented with elegant, flowing corner scrolls that flank a central circular medallion housing the face-value denomination as "10 коп" (10 Kopecks). Arcing elegantly beneath the central circle, dual textual panels anchor the state postal authority, spelling out "ПОЧТА" (Postage) on the left and "СССР" on the right. This particular specimen displays clear evidence of service, marked by partial black ink handstamp cancellations along the lower-right quadrant and frame margins.
