USSR 10th Anniversary Spacewalk Block of Four

Under Review

Description: This commemorative postage block contains four identical, unsevered six-kopek stamps arranged in a pristine two-by-two grid configuration. Each stamp features a stylized, retro-futuristic illustration of a Soviet cosmonaut floating outside the orbital capsule against a backdrop of a luminous, swirling blue Earth. Stylized golden stars flank the planetary horizon on the left and right borders. Cyrillic text arcs over the upper half of the globe reading "10-ЛЕТИЕ ПЕРВОГО ВЫХОДА ЧЕЛОВЕКА В ОТКРЫТЫЙ КОСМОС" alongside the mission identifier "ВОСХОД-2". The lower-left corner sharply displays the face value "6к" directly above the issuing authority imprint "почта СССР", while the year "1975" is vertically aligned in gold inside the bottom right margin.

Circa: Issued 1975

Condition: Mint, unused block of four.

Notes:

Leonov’s legendary twelve-minute extravehicular activity on 18 March 1965 became one of the Soviet Union’s most celebrated space achievements.
