Description: This multi-piece uniform insignia features a stamped gold-anodized aluminum laurel leaf wreath that spreads outward into a broad semicircular wing shape. Nestled dead-center is a corrugated, oval sunburst shield layered with a striking red enamel border ring. The heart of the oval displays the iconic State Emblem of the Soviet Union, highlighting a blue globe detailed with a gold hammer and sickle motif beneath a small, five-pointed red star. 
Reverse: This reverse view reveals the underlying structural framework of the stamped aluminum Soviet Militia officer cap badge. The entire concave backside mirrors the front contours, showcasing the deeply pressed indents of the expansive laurel leaf wings and the central corrugated oval sunburst frame. Positioned directly in the absolute center of the oval shield is a heavy-duty, integrated gold-toned fastening post assembly featuring two distinct, rounded rivets. These rivets secure the wide, vertical sliding clip designed to wedge the heavy insignia securely into a matching slot on the front of a police service visor hat.
