Treasure detail

Strategic Mountain Pass

Under Review

Description: The stamp features a detailed horizontal line engraving of a rugged geographic canyon landscape framed by a crisp border. The composition illustrates the winding roadway and strategic ridges of the legendary Khyber Pass cutting between rocky cliffs, with a small masonry bridge structure crossing a channel bed in the lower-left foreground. Spanning across the upper edge, the name of the issuing nation "PAKISTAN" is written in three distinct scripts, featuring native Urdu calligraphy on the left, standard English block letters in the middle, and Bengali script on the right. A prominent, bold red "SERVICE" overprint is stamped horizontally across the center fields, designating it specifically for governmental administrative mail. The lower-left corner explicitly designates the face value denomination "1 PAISA," balanced by the word "POSTAGE" tucked cleanly into the lower-right corner. A partial black circular postmark crosses the right side of the mountain scenery, marking its transit through the institutional mail stream.
