Sovereign of Norway

Under Review

Description: The stamp features King Haakon VII of Norway, who reigned from 1905 until his death in 1957. The design showcases a formal bust of the king facing slightly to the right, dressed in a dark suit with a tie and a folded pocket square. The frame is intricately decorated with stylized vertical columns of floral Norse patterns flanking the portrait. The country name "NORGE" is proudly inscribed along the top edge, flanked by two winged symbols. Below the name, the king’s crowned personal royal monogram "H7" is positioned in the upper right-hand field. The lower section displays the face value inscribed as "1 KRONE" over an ornate horizontal base. A dark circular postal cancellation mark runs across the lower portion of the design, indicating it successfully traveled through the mail system.
