Description: This specimen is a 12-cent (12 C) definitive postage stamp issued by the Kingdom of the Netherlands (Nederland). The monochromatic layout is printed using a deep teal or sea-green ink, framing a stark, left-facing portrait silhouette of Queen Juliana. Unlike traditional royal stamp designs that heavily feature elaborate crowns, scepters, and ceremonial jewelry, this composition is entirely unadorned, emphasizing her simple hairdo gathered into a modest bun. The denomination value "12 C" sits prominently below her neck line, while the country identifier "NEDERLAND" grounds the bottom margin in clean, classical typography. A distinct, circular date cancel reading "VIII 58" curves directly across the center of her profile, marking its operational postal history.
