Description: The stamp utilizes a vertical rectangular format to frame an exquisitely engraved representation of a 14th-century cast metal masterpiece. An orange-brown bust of the iconic Ife Bronze head anchors the center of the design, displaying realistic facial contouring, almond-shaped eyes, and a highly detailed multi-tiered royal crown ending in an upright crest. The artifact stands out against a contrasting charcoal-grey background wash that lightens in a circular aura behind the sculpture. Positioned in the upper-left quadrant is the Tudor Crown symbol, balancing the face value denomination "6d" printed in a bold serif font in the upper-right corner. A crisp white banner beneath the bust reads "IFE BRONZE" in all capital letters. The name of the issuing nation "NIGERIA" is prominently displayed across a solid dark base panel. A faded, curved black postal cancel mark runs diagonally across the center, documenting its journey through the postal network.
