Treasure detail

Mozambique Company African Rock Python Stamp

Under Review

Description: This distinctive stamp is configured as an equilateral triangle with a fine-tooth perforated edge along all three sides. The center features a highly detailed, black-ink engraving of a coiled African rock python resting on a stylized rocky terrain. Framing the serpent is a green triangular border decorated with a wave-like geometric ribbon pattern along the top left and right diagonals. The Portuguese coat of arms is positioned at the top apex. The bottom panel explicitly displays the text "COMPANHIA DE MOÇAMBIQUE" in bold block lettering, with the lower-left corner showing the numeric value "30" and the lower-right corner noting the denomination as "cervos" or "centavos." The very bottom fine print attributes the production to the renowned security printing firm Waterlow & Sons Limited in London.
