Description: The item is a vertical, recess-printed definitive postage stamp featuring a monochromatic blue ink architectural design surrounded by a detailed linear border frame. The left side highlights a perspective rendering of the iconic facade and twin towers of St. John’s Co-Cathedral in Valletta, balanced on the right by a circular vignette containing the formal portrait bust of King George VI. The crown-topped value tablet below the portrait explicitly sets the denomination at 3 pence. Strikingly, the entire face is superimposed with a bold, diagonal two-line carmine-red overprint that reads "SELF-GOVERNMENT / 1947".
