Description: This vintage postage and revenue stamp was issued by the Crown Colony of Malta during the interwar period. The design elegantly splits its canvas, featuring a circular frame on the right side that holds a left-facing profile of King George V. On the left side, the name of the Mediterranean archipelago, "MALTA", is stacked vertically above an ornate shield adorned with a harp and framed by a detailed laurel wreath. Below the monarch's profile, the face value is explicitly denoted as “1½d” (one and a half pence).
