Transatlantic Ocean Liner

Treasure detail

Transatlantic Ocean Liner

Under Review

Description: The stamp features an inverted triangular layout bounded by detailed serrated perforations along all edges. The central engraving showcases a powerful, modern passenger liner slicing forward through ocean waves, viewed from a dynamic three-quarter frontal perspective to emphasize its massive hull and structure. The background fields are filled with a striking steel-blue color wash, creating a stark contrast against the off-white paper tone. Text framing the ship reads "TIMBRE TAXE" along the top-left boundary and "POSTES" on the top-right border. Resting along the ocean water at the bottom left is a tiny designated banner identifying the vessel as a "PAQUEBOT 'UNITED STATES'". The bottom horizontal margin explicitly lists the issuing authority "MONACO" alongside the large face value denomination "2F."
