Description: This British colonial commemorative stamp features a striking dual-ink composition rendered in vivid orange and deep black. The central focus is a prominent oval medallion framing a finely engraved, three-quarter portrait of the young Queen Elizabeth II wearing a sparkling diamond tiara. Arcing gracefully above her likeness is the word "CORONATION," while the monumental historic date "2ND JUNE 1953" grounds the bottom of the central oval. The entire portrait vignette is nestled inside a detailed orange lattice backdrop, which is crowned at the apex by the St. Edward's Crown. The upper left and right corners prominently anchor the face value of "20 CENTS." Spanning across the lower baseline, a crisp rectangular banner clearly identifies the joint postal territories as "KENYA UGANDA TANGANYIKA." A historic postmark cancellation stretches subtly across the upper left and lower left edges of the stamp.
