Description: This item is an original Japanese definitive postage stamp from the historic Tazawa series, displaying a face value of 30 sen. The vertical, perforated stamp features a striking bi-color design with a highly stylized, orange-drab ornamental frame and center graphics printed in dark green ink. At the top center sits a prominent, circular 16-petal Chrysanthemum Crest—the official mon of the Imperial Family. Flanking this crest are the kanji characters for "Imperial Japanese Post" (Dai Nippon Teikoku Yūbin) running horizontally from right to left. The vertical green text in the center center notes the denomination in kanji characters (San-jū Sen), supported by an lower tablet displaying the value in Western characters as "30 SEN". The specimen features a partial, heavy black ink cancellation mark struck across the left border.
