Japan One Sen Orange Tazawa Definitive

Under Review

Description: This artifact is a genuine used Japanese definitive postage stamp from the iconic Tazawa series. Rendered in a vibrant shade of orange ink on cream paper, it features a central vertical cartouche bearing the kanji characters "壹錢" which translates to its face value of one sen. The left and right circular frames emphasize the denomination through the Western numeral "1" and the abbreviated currency symbol "SN". Crowning the upper center of the frame is the revered Imperial Chrysanthemum Crest, flanked by stylized scrolling foliage, floral blossoms, and a banner containing the traditional text reading from right to left as "大日本帝国郵便" meaning Imperial Japanese Post. This example exhibits clear perforation edges along all four margins and is struck with a partial black postal cancellation ink mark along the top edge.
