Japanese Tazawa Definitive

Under Review

Description: This vintage postage stamp features the classic "Tazawa" design archetype printed in a deep violet ink palette. The top border reads from right to left in traditional Kanji characters, identifying the issue under the authority of the Imperial Japanese Post Office. The central upper section highlights the sixteen-petal Imperial Chrysanthemum Crest, which is situated directly above an ornate, fan-shaped panel containing the Japanese denomination hand-inscribed as "Five Sen". Framing this central text is a dense backdrop of stylized sakura flowers and vines. The bottom section divides the Western Arabic numeral "5" and the English word "SEN" into two distinct horizontal oval frames, allowing for easier reading on international mail routes.
