Description: This is a rectangular definitive postage stamp issued by the Empire of Japan carrying a face value of 10 Sen, denoted by the Western shorthand "10 SN" in the lower corners. The central motif showcases the prominent sixteen-petal Imperial Chrysanthemum Crest (Kikukamonshō), which served as both the personal coat of arms of the Emperor and the official state seal of Japan. Curved around the upper half of the central emblem is the traditional kanji inscription "大日本帝国郵便" (Dai Nippon Teikoku Yūbin), which translates to "Imperial Japanese Post". The bottom curve registers the face value written in traditional text as "錢拾" (Jū Sen). This specimen shows a curved, heavy black ink postal cancellation mark that partially obscures the intricate underlying wavy-line security pattern.
