Description: The item is an unsevered horizontal pair of recess-printed definitive postage stamps, composed of two distinct designs tied together by a heavy historical postmark. The left stamp, valued at 1½ pence and printed in a dual chocolate-brown and forest-green palette, displays a vignette of the local sugar industry featuring workers harvesting cane alongside a mule-drawn cart. The right stamp, valued at 3 pence and struck in green and light ultramarine ink, captures a coastal banana plantation scene framed by towering banana trees. The entire piece is heavily superimposed with an architectural machine slogan cancellation reading "SPEND YOUR VACATION IN SUMMERLAND", accompanied by a circular town date stamp reading "KINGSTON / NOV 1948 / JAMAICA".
