Description: An authentic piece of Axis Powers military history, this die-stamped uniform accessory showcases the majestic eagle of the Savoy monarchy facing toward its right wing. The predatory bird stands securely atop a stylized horizontal anchor, which identifies the object's specialized naval or aviation branch parameters. Enclosing the central eagle is a composite botanical border made of a detailed laurel leaf wreath winding up the left margin and a robust oak leaf design branching up the right. Sitting proudly above the foliage is a large royal crown complete with simulated velvet lining recesses and intricate jeweled arc bands. The entire piece is pressed from standard military-grade brass sheet metal that currently exhibits deep atmospheric oxidation, tarnish, and traces of green verdigris.
