India Queen Victoria 6 Rupees Revenue Stamp

Under Review

Description: This vintage fiscal adhesive stamp was issued under the British colonial administration of the Government of India for legal, financial, and court transactions. The elongated horizontal design features a fine, pale green photogravure layout framed by an intricate geometric Greek key pattern along the outer borders. The central circular vignette displays a left-facing profile portrait of a youthful Queen Victoria wearing a delicate coronet. Arcing gracefully over the top of the portrait medallion is the text "GOVERNMENT OF INDIA", balanced along the bottom curve by the spelled-out denomination reading "SIX RUPEES". Flanking the central emblem symmetrically on both sides are large, bold face value indicators designated as 6R, filled with a matching fine-line background texture.

Circa: 1868-1880

Condition: Used example with strong embossed fiscal cancellation.
