Notes:
Issued in 2004 to mark the centenary of George Formby’s birth, this series celebrated the entertainer’s enduring association with the Isle of Man, the filming location for No Limit (1935), a romantic comedy set around the Isle of Man TT motorcycle races. Each design from the issue captures a different key moment or character from the film, blending nostalgia with the island’s deep cultural connection to motorsport. The 25p “Policeman Scene” is the most lighthearted of the set, reflecting Formby’s mischievous comedic style and down-to-earth charm.
