Description: This authentic sports association blazer badge belongs to the localized Parachute Regiment Ronaldsway Rugby Union Football Club (PRRUFC) based on the Isle of Man. The central shield shape features a solid royal blue fabric field bordered by thick white embroidered stitching. Dominating the upper center is a large white tactical parachute canopy with prominent black and golden-yellow rigging lines descending toward a pair of outstretched white wings. Flanking this central airborne insignia are two distinct golden-yellow embroidered symbols: a traditional stitched rugby ball on the left, and a three-legged Manx triskelion emblem on the right. A sweeping white scroll backed with a sharp pink trim anchors the bottom of the design, displaying the club initials PRRUFC in bold, stylized black block lettering.
Circa: Mid to Late 20th Century
Notes:
The Ronaldsway RUFC originally formed around the massive aerospace and industrial manufacturing presence near the Ronaldsway Airport. When parent company corporate funding was officially scaled back at the close of the 1980s, the historic club transitioned and laid down foundations to form what is known today as Castletown RUFC, rendering original Ronaldsway insignia entirely obsolete and highly collectible.
