The Holy Crown Definitive

Under Review

Description: The 10-fillér Holy Crown of Saint Stephen stamp was issued by the Kingdom of Hungary as a foundational component of its pre-World War II definitive postal system. The beautifully balanced vignette showcases a meticulous rendering of the "Sacra Corona", the legendary coronation crown historically used for more than fifty Hungarian monarchs. Designed by famed graphic artist Sándor Légrády, the composition arches the crown gracefully over the numerical denomination value "10 f". Framed by the faint background lettering "SACRA CORONA", the bottom edge anchors the piece with bold, stylized typography reading "MAGYAR KIR. POSTA", representing the Royal Hungarian Post.
