Description: This authentic pair of Greek postage stamps features a denomination of 1,000 drachmae. The intricate visual layout showcases an Orthodox priest standing atop a rocky peak with raised arms, blessing national infantry soldiers who are raising the Greek flag next to a mountainside church bell tower. Bold Greek lettering at the top reads "ΓΡΑΜΜΟΣ 2520", which references Mount Grammos and its towering geographic height in meters. The bottom banner explicitly identifies the issue's origin as "ΕΛΛΑΣ" (Hellas) accompanied by "ΑΕΡΟΠΟΡΙΚΟΝ" to designate its specific airmail utility. A heavy, dark circular postal cancellation mark runs across both specimens to show actual historical transit use.
