Description: This individual postage stamp features a highly detailed, multicoloured portrait engraving of Jean Henry Dunant (transliterated into Greek as "Ε. ΝΤΥΝΑΝ" below the portrait). Set against a soft blue-grey backdrop, Dunant is portrayed looking off-center, wearing a dark formal morning coat, high collar, and necktie, framed beautifully by a stark red Geneva cross inside a clean white square box in the upper right quadrant. The lower margin is defined by a solid royal blue horizontal banner carrying the white text country designation "ΕΛΛΑΣ" balanced beside the numeric denomination "ΔΡ. 4.50" on the right. The physical specimen retains sharp perforations on its top and bottom edges, while still remaining attached to a fragment of its original white-and-blue striped airmail envelope backing.

Circa: 1963-1964

Condition: Used on air mail fragment
