Description: The item is a small, clipped paper postal fragment preserving two historical used definitive stamps issued by Hellenic Post (Greece). The left stamp is a deep cobalt blue 10-drachma issue displaying a detailed line engraving of Dimitrios Philippotis' famous 1908 marble sculpture, the "Wood-Breaker" (Ο Ξυλοθραύστης), resting on a pedestaled plinth captioned in Greek. The right stamp is a bright orange-red 1.50-drachma definitive showing the clean right-facing portrait silhouette of King Constantine II surmounted by a small royal crown. A heavy black wavy-line slogan cancellation mark cuts beautifully across both specimens, preserving a clear, circular Athens ("ΑΘΗΝΑΙ") dated "1.III.67" (March 1, 1967).
Circa: 1966-1967
