Greece Tourism Multi-Denomination Philatelic Fragment

Under Review

Description: This artifact features two distinct values from the acclaimed 1961 Greece Tourism Issue, preserved intact on an original piece of a blue-and-white bordered airmail envelope. On the left is the 4.50-drachma steel-blue stamp, showcasing a highly detailed architectural engraving of the ancient Temple of Poseidon at Cape Sounion ("ΣΟΥΝΙΟΝ"). On the right sits the 1.50-drachma multi-colored stamp, portraying a stylized, abstract merchant or passenger ship navigating a deeply textured blue Aegean Sea. Both stamps are anchored together by a partial, authentic black circular date cancellation (CDS) that gracefully spans the dividing perforation lines.
