Description: This beautifully designed vertical stamp from France carries a face value of 30 Francs (indicated by the "30F" printed in the upper right corner) and highlights the physical teamwork of a basketball game. The artwork captures two players soaring into the air under a woven mesh net to secure a loose ball, while an offensive player locks in posture in the foreground and a defensive guard watches the play unfold from the left. A barren winter tree stands quietly in the background to provide a sense of place, while the vertical text "POSTES" frames the left-hand border. Across the upper margin, the country inscription "REPUBLIQUE FRANCAISE" denotes the issuing nation. The bottom frame houses the bold text "BASKET-BALL", flanked by the tiny signatures of the designer "A. SERRES" (Raoul Serres) and the engraver "DUFRESNE" (Charles-Paul Dufresne), noting its high-quality production.
