Heraldic Nordic Lion

Under Review

Description: This sharply detailed slate-blue definitive stamp from Finland centers on the nation’s historic heraldic coat of arms. The artwork features a crowned rampant lion standing proudly within a background field field of fine vertical lines, scattered with nine symbolic heraldic roses. The lion famously brandishes a raised sword in its armored right foreleg while defiantly trampling an Eastern sabre beneath its hind paws. The right-hand margin bears the country name "FINLAND" spelled out in a clean vertical title block. The lower baseline frames the dual language designations, spotlighting a large "30" face value nested beside the native country title "SUOMI". Faint, dark post office cancellation smudges are visible along the upper edge to authenticate its travel through the domestic mail stream.
