Description: This monochromatic slate blue air post stamp from Spain displays a three-quarter portrait of Christopher Columbus, labeled under his Spanish name "CRISTOBAL COLON". The intricate portrait is bordered on the left and right sides by elaborate vertical bands of interconnected geometric diamond and floral motifs. The upper text banner reads "CORREO AEREO" over a smaller sub-headline reading "IBERO AMERICA". At the bottom, the face value is explicitly split into a large "50" on the left and a "Cts." abbreviation on the right, flanking a stylized Gothic-script "España" denomination.
