Towering Skyline of Aragon

Under Review

Description: This vintage 5 PTS (pesetas) charity fiscal label belongs to the same mid-century religious fundraising series from Aragon as the previous issue. The main vertical vignette is printed in a striking deep slate-blue monochrome ink, showcasing a detailed perspective view of the landmark baroque bell tower of La Seo (The Cathedral of the Saviour) in Zaragoza, Spain. A twin-engine propeller airliner is depicted flying across the sky just behind the upper tiers of the spire, adding a modern element to the historic scene. A vertical panel of intricate, gold-toned floral scrollwork frames the entire left edge of the design. The lower section features a coordinated brown panel containing two kneeling angels facing inward, flanking the mandatory text "SIN VALOR POSTAL" (No Postal Value) and the title "PRO-SEMINARIO ZARAGOZA". Tiny inscriptions along the absolute bottom margin credit the subject "La Seo" on the left and the security printer Rieusset, S.A. on the right.
