Description: This philatelic artifact is an irregular, torn piece of off-white envelope paper bearing an eclectic grouping of seven cancelled West German postage stamps issued by the Deutsche Bundespost Berlin. The left side features two distinct art-themed stamps: a 10-pfennig sepia issue showing a horse-drawn omnibus and a 20-pfennig sage-green issue depicting a traditional shoemaker at work. The center of the fragment holds an unsevered horizontal strip of three identical 30-pfennig orange and black stamps, each illustrating violinist Joseph Joachim tuning his instrument. The right edge concludes with a vertical pair of two 50-pfennig multi-colored stamps featuring a seated portrait of naturalist Alexander von Humboldt. All seven stamps have fine black postmarks stamped over their surfaces and are bound to the backing paper by their original adhesive gum.
