East Germany (DDR) GDR Official State Emblem

Under Review

Description: This is an official government service stamp (Dienstmarke) issued by the German Democratic Republic (DDR / East Germany) for state administration use. Set against a rich blue background, the central circular design features the second version of the National Emblem of East Germany: a central hammer and compass superimposed over each other. The hammer represents the industrial working class, while the compass symbolizes the intelligentsia. This emblem is ringed by heavy wreaths of rye grain wrapped in ribbons, representing the peasantry. The upper text explicitly marks the country as "DEUTSCHE DEMOKRATISCHE REPUBLIK", while the lower edge flanks the word "DIENSTMARKE" with dual "12" Pfennig denomination numerals. This specimen features a circular postmark over its face.
