Junák Czech Scouting Fleur-de-Lis Pin

Under Review

Material: White Metal

Size: 12mm w x 15mm h

Description: This unmarked pin belongs to Junák, the largest scouting organization in the Czech Republic. The pin features a beautifully stamped brass fleur-de-lis—the universal symbol of scouting—with a central shield housing the rampant, two-tailed lion of Bohemia. The pin is crafted from gold-toned metal with fine, vertical hatch styling inside the shield, designed to be worn on a scout leader's lapel or cravat during official gatherings and jamborees.

Circa: 1920-1948

Notes:

Founded officially in 1914 by A. B. Svojsík, Junák (a Czech word meaning a brave, stately young man) has a deeply dramatic history of resilience. The organization was banned three separate times—first by the Nazis during the occupation of Czechoslovakia, then by the Communist regime in 1948, and again after the Prague Spring.
