Description: This vintage Curaçao definitive postage stamp is rendered in an attractive orange-brown ink with a face value of 1½ cents. The intricate portrait illustration showcases the Dutch Royal Family, centering on Princess Juliana and her husband Prince Bernhard standing at the back. Seated prominently in the foreground is Queen Wilhelmina, cradling the newly born baby Princess Margriet. Princess Juliana's elder daughters, Princess Beatrix and Princess Irene, stand faithfully by their grandmother's side. The name of the territory, "CURAÇAO," is emblazoned across a bold rectangular frame at the top, perfectly balanced by the clean split value boxes reading "1½" and "CENT" spanning the bottom rim.
