Description: This purple-brown definitive postage stamp from the Republic of China features a finely lined, front-facing portrait engraving of Dr. Sun Yat-sen, the founding father of modern China. The political leader is depicted in a formal Western suit, high collar, and necktie, framed within a solid rectangle that accentuates the details of the cross-hatched vignette background. The top border proudly bears the formal national country title "中華民國郵政" (Republic of China Postal Service) in elegant, traditional Chinese regular script. The lower section showcases the massive face value "2000" in Arabic numerals on the left, perfectly balanced on the right by the traditional denomination text "貳仟圓" (Two Thousand Yuan). This pristine mint specimen features fully intact comb perforations along all four sides and possesses an completely un-canceled face, beautifully preserving a historic symbol of turbulent 20th-century Asian history.
