Description: This 20 Yuan definitive stamp features the dignified portrait of Dr. Sun Yat-sen, the first president of the Republic of China, centered within a decorative geometric frame. Printed in a reddish-orange hue, the stamp displays the national "Blue Sky with a White Sun" emblem at the top center, flanked by the inscription "中華民國郵政" (Republic of China Postal Administration). The face value is uniquely presented in the bottom tablet as "20 00" (with the "00" smaller and underlined), which represents 20 Yuan and zero cents, rather than 2,000 Yuan. The Chinese denomination "貳拾圓" (Twenty Yuan) is inscribed vertically in the pill-shaped panels on both the left and right sides.
Circa: 1946
Condition: Unused - Hinged
Notes:
This issue is widely attributed to the Dah Tung Book Company (Third Shanghai Print), distinguishable by the thicker, bolder numerals in the value tablet compared to the thinner font used by the Central Trust printings.
