Sage Green Sovereign

Treasure detail

Sage Green Sovereign

Under Review

Description: The stamp features an exquisitely engraved, monochromatic portrait of Queen Elizabeth II in three-quarter profile facing right, rendered in a distinct sage green ink. Set inside a central oval frame against a horizontally lined background, the young monarch is depicted wearing the prominent Girls of Great Britain and Ireland Tiara. Symmetrically flanking the upper corners is the royal cypher "EIIR," while the face value "2¢" occupies both lower corners. The nation's name "CANADA" anchors the entire design horizontally across the bottom margin, accented by the tiny bilingual inscriptions "POSTES" and "POSTAGE" tucked cleanly beneath the numerical values to reflect Canada's legal linguistic duality.
