Description: The stamp features an elegant, monochromatic engraved portrait of King George VI facing three-quarters left and wearing the service dress uniform of a Marshal of the Royal Canadian Air Force. This design is enclosed within a fine rectangular double-border, flanked along the outer margins by a distinctive diagonal candy-stripe or chevron safety border. The country name "CANADA" sits prominently at the upper center, directly supported by the smaller bilingual inscriptions "POSTES" and "POSTAGE" flanking the king's cap crest. Symmetrically anchoring the bottom frame are the dual face value numbers "3," which firmly flank the central text "CENTS."
