Description: The stamp features an engraved, monochromatic portrait of King George VI facing forward, rendered in a deep green ink. He is depicted wearing the service uniform and peaked cap of an Admiral of the Fleet, paying tribute to the Royal Canadian Navy. The central portrait is enclosed within a rectangular double-line frame, which is flanked along the outer margins by a distinctive diagonal safety chevron border. The word "CANADA" is printed boldly at the upper center, directly supported by the smaller bilingual inscriptions "POSTES" and "POSTAGE." The base is anchored by the dual face value numbers "1," which frame the central text "CENT."
