Description: The pane displays a vertical block configuration containing two alternating, se-tenant designs with a face value of 8 cents per stamp. One design features a monochromatic sepia illustration of the detailed interior of a Nootka Sound house, showcasing heavy cedar structural timbers, an open central firepit, carved house posts, and residents gathered around the hearth. The alternating design presents a vibrant, full-colour graphic layout featuring an intricate carved wooden ceremonial mask, woven basketry, and sculpted wooden fish effigies set against a warm, gradient orange background. Both varieties are cleanly inscribed along the upper border with "Indians of the Pacific Coast / Les Indiens de la Côte du Pacifique" alongside the prominent "Canada 8" denomination text.
