The collection illustrates iconic passenger cars, tracing a mechanical timeline from late 19th-century steam power up to mid-20th-century consumer styling. Featured on the top left is the 43-cent H.S. Taylor Steam Buggy from 1867, widely considered the first automobile built in Canada. Moving clockwise, the 49-cent 1914 Ford Model T Open Touring Car represents the rise of mass assembly, followed by the yellow 49-cent 1950 Studebaker Champion Deluxe Starlight Coupe with its iconic wraparound rear window. Completing the quadrant on the bottom left is the 43-cent 1908 Russell Model L Deluxe Touring Car, representing an elegant era of high-end Canadian luxury manufacturing.
