Description: This philatelic item is a vertical strip of three unmounted mint postage stamps issued by Canada Post as part of the prominent Canadian Personalities definitive and commemorative stamp series. Each identical stamp features a beautifully engraved monochrome sepia portrait of the subject looking slightly off-camera, contrasted against a crisp, clean background. The top edge of each piece is dominated by bold, modern typography featuring the country name and face value reading "Canada 8", coupled with the dual English and French utility text "Postage Postes". The bottom-left corner of the central design includes a clear identifier caption reading "Alphonse Desjardins 1854-1920", and the strip is bounded by crisp horizontal and vertical rows of cleanly punched stamp perforations.
