Description: This vintage military textile artifact is a Royal Canadian Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (RCEME) cloth shoulder title badge. The insignia features the acronym "R.C.E.M.E." heavily embroidered in vibrant yellow-gold silk thread. The capital letters are set in a gently curved arc layout following the contours of a dark midnight-blue wool-felt uniform backing. Designed to be sewn directly onto the upper sleeves or shoulder epaulettes of military service dress jackets, this curved flash boasts a durable, thick buckram or canvas rear reinforcement layer to help it retain its curved structure under heavy wear.
