Description: This military artifact is an original, die-struck brass shoulder title issued to troops serving within the Canadian Expeditionary Force or early twentieth-century Canadian Army. Measuring exactly 40mm wide by 10mm high, the insignia features the country name "CANADA" rendered in bold, blocky capital letters spanning a slightly angled, singular horizontal brass bar. The voided spaces between the lettering are cleanly cut out to create a highly legible silhouette when mounted on a wool uniform jacket shoulder strap. The reverse side features a pair of original copper fixing loops brazed directly onto the rear, alongside a highly sought-after, stamped manufacturer hallmark reading "J.R. GAUNT LONDON".
