Vintage Scouts Canada Rainbow Uniform Patch

Under Review

Size: 78mm

Description: This vintage circular insignia displays a tightly stitched, fully embroidered pattern of concentric rings. Moving from the outside inward, the design features a white stitched border, followed by bold bands of red, light blue, dark green, and a central core of golden yellow. Rendered at the dead center is a vibrant red stylized Canadian maple leaf. Layered directly on top of the maple leaf is a pristine white fleur-de-lis, unifying the classic global symbol of Scouting with Canada’s proud national emblem. The reverse features a standard plastic-coated backing designed to stabilize the dense thread work when stitched onto heavy canvas uniform sashes or camp blankets.

Circa: Mid to late 20th Century
Notes:

Instead of pinpointing a local district or city, the multi-colored concentric circles symbolize the diverse stages of a youth's journey and growth across the entire scouting movement. Because it was an event-based challenge insignia, it was not intended to be worn permanently on an official uniform sleeve alongside standard rank badges. Instead, scouts earned it as a keepsake to display on the back of their uniforms, campfire sashes, or wool camp blankets to showcase their participation in a specific multi-tier activity track.
