Material: Gilt brass.
Size: 15 mm.
Description: The design features a sharply detailed, front-facing eagle in flight with outspread wings, looking to its right. Directly surmounting the eagle is an imperial Tudor Crown, universally known to militaria collectors as the King's Crown. Arched across the bottom margin are the prominent initials R.C.A.F. stamped in raised, polished serif block lettering. The entire central motif is set against an intricately lined, horizontal-ribbed background field that provides a beautiful visual contrast against the polished text and graphics. The reverse features a solid backplate equipped with a sturdy brass wire loop shank firmly brazed to the center, bearing the official manufacturer's stamp of WM SCULLY LTD MONTREAL.
