RCMP Queen Elizabeth II Era Brass Button

Under Review

Material: Brass

Diameter: 15mm

Description: This 15mm struck brass button was manufactured in the United Kingdom for the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) following the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II. The front design centers on a forward-facing bison head enclosed by a circular garter band that carries the force's traditional motto: "Maintiens le Droit" (Uphold the Right). Framing the central cameo is a clean wreath of Canadian maple leaves, all proudly surmounted by the lobed St. Edward's Crown. Struck from a solid brass alloy, this small 15mm variant was designated for the smaller pocket flaps, epaulets, or side-cap foldings of the standard uniform, bridging the gap between Canada's early policing eras and modern standardization.

Reverse: Brass 2 piece construction; marked MADE IN ENGLAND

Circa: 1953-1970s
